where long shadows fall residency

2011/12
funded by the cairngorms national park authority/ cairngorms local action group/ scottish natural heritage/ marr area partnership.

'Where Long Shadows Fall‘ celebrated 2011′s UNESCO Year of the Forest and explored, through outdoor installations and events , the forest environment of the Cairngorms National Park and its connection with people living there.

Involving local communities, Gill created two outdoor installations  on either side of the Park. The first work was an audio installation, 'Where Long Shadows Fall', near Glenbuchat Hall. The second work was a light and audio installation, 'Sòrn',  in Strathmashie Forest.

PDF file of the limited edition book, Where Long Shadows Fall, published as part of the project’s legacy.
